To have time management is to have peace of mind at work. It’s the art of reclaiming elusive lost hours in a day, and being proactive about your capabilities in clever ways. 1. Review what you currently spend your time on

Firstly, you need to figure out what you’re already spending time on aggressively. Ask yourself what is sucking your time and what isn’t getting enough of it. Determine how much you can realistically achieve within designated work hours and what needs the most of your attention for positive returns.

2. Create a daily schedule and follow it

Time management is heavily reliant on organized and realistic timelines. This starts with daily to-do lists and allotted time slots with productivity as the end goals. In no time, you’d find yourself ticking each task off with spare time to accomplish more or simply rest.

3. Prioritize 

Figure out what needs to be done immediately, scheduled for later, delegated or discarded if need be. And if you’re wondering why this is important, it’s because to-do lists can get overwhelming. As a result, you want to make sure you’re prioritizing what actually needs to be prioritized.

4. Tackle tasks creatively

In addition to time management hacks, knowing how to navigate your workload creatively is key. Start out by doing difficult tasks first, and you can also try grouping similar ones together for a seamless flow. For example, sending out emails within a set timeline or generating reports for distribution at a given time.

5. Say No 

When you learn how to say no, you learn how to stay in your power with anything and everything. You need to recognize your strengths and weaknesses to make sure you’re not stretching yourself too thin. Avoid saying yes to everything so you don’t end up producing half-baked results when you had the chance not to.
